6.7 Judge.me review and integration technologies

Current status: Judge.me remains installed in our Shopify store. Public star-rating badges, review widgets, and review-submission forms are not currently displayed. However, base JavaScript and style-sheet resources may load from Judge.me or its content-delivery infrastructure when a storefront page is opened, including before a visitor has made a choice about optional cookies.

Resources observed in our current configuration: loader.js , shopify_v2.js , and shopify_v2.css . File names, delivery domains, and implementation details may change when Shopify or Judge.me updates the integration.

Category: Functional / customer reviews for the base technical integration; Analytics only where optional review measurement is enabled.

Purpose: To deliver and maintain the installed technical integration, support compatibility and error diagnosis, and make review functionality available when enabled. If review features are enabled, Judge.me may also support the collection, authentication, moderation, display, verification, management, and measurement of reviews, ratings, photographs, display names, and review-request interactions.

Technical information that may be processed when resources load: IP address, browser and device information, user agent, requested resource, page or referring URL, date and time, and delivery, security, caching, or diagnostic logs.

Cookies and browser storage under the current configuration: Our point-in-time technical test on July 27, 2026 did not identify a Judge.me cookie or Judge.me value in local storage or session storage before a visitor made a cookie choice. This result does not guarantee that Judge.me will never use browser storage under another feature, browser, region, configuration, or future version.

Duration: No specific Judge.me cookie duration is listed because no Judge.me cookie was verified under the current configuration. Script and style resources may be cached by the browser or delivery network according to technical cache settings. Server-side technical logs may be retained according to Judge.me’s documented security, delivery, diagnostic, and contractual practices.

Consent and legal basis: We rely on our legitimate interests for the limited processing of technical connection data needed to deliver, maintain, secure, and diagnose the installed base integration, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. We do not use Judge.me as an advertising provider. Where Judge.me or another review tool uses optional analytics, writes or reads non-essential identifiers on your device, or performs another activity for which consent is required, that activity is only permitted after the relevant consent has been provided.

For personal information received from our store in connection with review functionality, Judge.me generally acts as a data processor or service provider on our behalf. Judge.me may act as an independent controller for certain direct interactions with its own services. You can learn more in the Judge.me Privacy Policy .

Where enabled, Pinterest Conversions API or similar Pinterest server-side technologies may allow certain ecommerce events to be sent from our server, Shopify integration, or approved app integration to Pinterest, rather than only through browser-based cookies.

10. GOOGLE CONSENT MODE AND CONSENT SIGNALS

Where Google tags are used, consent settings may be used to communicate your choices to Google technologies.

These settings may include:

Rejecting analytics or marketing storage through Cookie Preferences is intended to prevent optional cookies for the rejected category where the relevant integration respects Shopify’s Customer Privacy API and Google consent settings.

Depending on the Google configuration, Google may still receive consent-status signals, cookieless pings, aggregated information, or restricted and non-personalised measurement when storage is denied. This does not mean that optional cookies have been accepted, and it does not permit personalised advertising where the required consent or permission is absent.

14.1 Cookie banner and Cookie Preferences

What it does: allows you to accept, decline, or manage optional personalisation, analytics, and marketing categories. It is the mechanism for giving, modifying, or withdrawing cookie consent.

Selecting Decline all is intended to block non-essential categories where the relevant integrations respect Shopify’s Customer Privacy API.

14.2 Your Privacy Choices

What it does: allows you to opt out of activities considered sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioural advertising under applicable United States privacy laws. You can access it through Your Privacy Choices .

We make this mechanism available across all United States states, including where it is not expressly required. This voluntary availability does not mean that every state provides identical legal rights.

This opt-out does not necessarily disable all analytics cookies or measurement technologies. Depending on the provider, configuration, consent status, and applicable law, restricted data processing, aggregated measurement, cookieless measurement, or non-personalised analytics may continue.

14.3 Global Privacy Control

What it does: where required by applicable law and technically supported, a GPC signal is treated as an opt-out request for sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioural advertising for the browser or device sending the signal.

GPC is not treated as a universal instruction to reject every cookie or disable all analytics.

14.4 Browser settings

What it does: allows you to block or delete cookies directly through your browser, independently of the controls above.

These controls are not equivalent. Declining all optional categories through Cookie Preferences is broader than an advertising-related opt-out through Your Privacy Choices: the former addresses optional personalisation, analytics, and marketing technologies, while the latter addresses sale, sharing, and targeted advertising specifically.

15. U.S. PRIVACY CHOICES AND VOLUNTARY NATIONWIDE AVAILABILITY

We make the Your Privacy Choices mechanism available to visitors across all United States states, including where providing this additional choice is not expressly required by applicable state law.

This voluntary availability does not mean that every United States resident has identical legal rights or that every state defines sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioural advertising in the same way.

Your Privacy Choices operates in addition to the cookie banner and Cookie Preferences. To reject optional personalisation, analytics, and marketing technologies, use Cookie Preferences. To exercise an applicable United States opt-out from sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, use Your Privacy Choices.

Where required by applicable law and technically supported, we also process recognised opt-out preference signals, including GPC.

16. BROWSER CONTROLS

Most browsers allow you to:

• See what cookies are stored on your device
• Delete cookies
• Block cookies
• Block third-party cookies
• Set rules for specific websites
• Use private or incognito browsing modes

Browser controls are separate from Cookie Preferences. If you delete cookies, your saved preferences may also be deleted and you may be asked to make your choices again.

17. DO NOT TRACK

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting.

Because there is no uniform legal or technical standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

Where legally required and technically supported, we respond to Global Privacy Control signals as described above.

18. COOKIE DURATION

Some cookies expire when you close your browser. Others remain on your device for a limited period or until you delete them.

The duration depends on:

• The purpose of the cookie
• The provider that sets it
• Your browser settings
• Your consent choices
• Whether you return to the website
• Whether the provider refreshes the cookie duration
• Legal or technical limitations that apply in your region or browser

The durations listed in this Cookie Policy are typical durations and may change if Shopify, Google, Meta, Pinterest, Judge.me, your browser, or another provider changes its technology or settings.

19. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES

Third-party providers may process information under their own privacy and cookie policies.

For example, Shopify, Google, Meta, Pinterest, Judge.me, PayPal, payment processors, and other service providers may process certain information in accordance with their own privacy terms when their technologies or services are used.

We do not control cookies placed directly by independent websites that you visit through external links.

20. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some of the providers we use may process information outside your country or region, including in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Norway, or other countries.

Where required, transfers of personal information are protected through appropriate safeguards, such as contractual protections, adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or other legally recognised transfer mechanisms.

21. UPDATES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY

We may update this Cookie Policy when our technologies, providers, legal obligations, or business practices change.

We may also update this policy when Shopify, Google, Meta, Pinterest, Judge.me, or another provider changes the cookies, pixels, storage technologies, names, purposes, or durations used through our website.

The latest version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

We also update the descriptions in Section 6 when a provider, app, integration, or feature is materially activated, deactivated, added, or removed.
